Dahi bhel

Dahi bhel

Bhel literally means a “mixture”. Dahi Bhel is another mixture recipe – a mixture of papadis and pineapple, along with the goodness of beans, curds and of course a melange of chutneys. Tasty, crunchy and chatpata!

Cooking Time : Nil.
Preparation Time : 20 mins.

Serves 3 to 4.

Ingredients

15 to 20 papadis crushed (papadi recipe given in the chaat section of this blog)

1 tablespoon chopped  pineapple(optional)
1 potato, boiled and cubed
1 tablespoon finely chopped raw mango
4 tablespoons white chick peas(kabuli chana) or green peas, boiled
2 – 3 tablespoons meethi soonth(recipe given in the chaat section of this blog)
1 1/2 to 2 tablespoons green chutney(recipe given at the chaat section of this blog)
1/2 cup fresh curds, whisked
2 teaspoons  cumin seed(jeera)powder
2 teaspoons chilli powder
2 teaspoon chaat masala (recipe given in the chaat section of this blog)
salt to taste
Method
1. Mix the crushed papadis, pineapple, potato, raw mango, chick peas, meethi soonth, green chutney and curds in a bowl.
2. Sprinkle the cumin seed powder, chilli powder and chaat masala on top.
3. Serve immediately.
