Rice porridge

Easy to digest and full of nutrients, this porridge is sure to replenish in you the lost fluid and salt balance.

Cooking Time : 20 mins.
Preparation Time : 10 mins.

Makes 2 1/2 cups.

¼ cup rice
½ teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
½ teaspoon ghee
salt to taste
1. Wash the rice and drain the water.
2. Heat the ghee in a pressure cooker and add the cumin seeds.
3. When the cumin seeds crackle, add the rice and salt along with 3 to 4 cups of water and pressure cook for 4 to 6 whistles.
4. Whisk the mixture well and simmer uncovered for 5 to 7 minutes till the desired consistency is obtained.
5. Serve hot.
