Three bean salad

This salad is an excellent source of rich in folic acid. Enjoy it during your preconception period and also your first trimester, as it is also a good source of iron and protein.

Cooking Time : Nil.
Preparation Time : 10 mins.

Serves 4.

Ingredients
2 1/2 cups mixed boiled beans (rajma, chawli, kabuli chana, hara chana)
2/3 cup spring onions, sliced
1/2 cup tomato, diced
1 to 2 green chillies, finely chopped
2 tablespoons chopped coriander
To be mixed into a dressing
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons chaat masala
1/4 teaspoon black salt (sanchal)
salt to taste
pepper to taste
Method
1. Keep aside half the coriander leaves for the garnish and mix all the salad ingredients together.
2. Toss in the dressing and refrigerate for at least for 1 hour.
3. Serve cold, garnished with the balance coriander leaves.
