Protein poha

A simple breakfast prepartion made of poha and kabuli chana which is full if energy and protein to keep you going for the day.

Cooking Time : 20 mins.
Preparation Time : 10 mins.

Serves 4.

2 cups poha (beaten rice)
1/3 cup kabuli chana (chick peas)
1 onion, chopped
1 green chilli, chopped
1 tomato, chopped
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon oil
salt to taste
For the garnish
2 tablespoons chopped coriander
1. Wash and soak the kabuli chana for about 6 hours.
2. Pressure cook the kabuli chana. Drain and keep aside.
3. Heat the oil in a saucepan. Add the oinion and green chilli and saute till the onion turns translucent.
4. Add the tomato and cook for a further 2 minutes.
5. Add the kabuli chana, lemon juice and salt and mix well. Remove from the fire.
6. Sprinkle some water on the poha to moistern it and add it to the kabuli chana mixture.
7. Mix well and garnish with the coriander. Serve hot.
