Lauki pudina raita

Raitas have always been a welcome addition to Indian meals. In this recipe, full fat curds have been replaced with low fat curds. The bottle gourd adds more body to this dish.

Preparation Time : 5 mins.
Cooking Time : 5 mins.

Serves 3.

Ingredients
1 cup bottle gourd (doodhi/lauki), grated
¼ cup tomatoes, chopped
1 cup low fat curds, whisked
2 tablespoons mint, chopped
¼ teaspoon roasted cumin seeds (jeera)
¼ teaspoon black salt (sanchal)
½ teaspoon sugar
Method
1. Steam the bottle gourd for 4 to 5 minutes. Allow to cool completely.
2. Combine all the ingredients in a serving bowl and whisk well.
3. Serve chilled.
