Macaroni supreme (microwave)

Cooking Time : 10 mins. 50 secs.

Serves 4.

4 tablespoons chopped parsley

2 teacups boiled pasta

2 1/2 teacups white sauce (microwave recipe)

a pinch of nutmeg powder
a pinch of dried or fresh oregano
3/4 teacup grated cooking cheese
1 medium tomato, sliced
a little butter
salt and peper to taste
1. Add the parsley, nutmeg powder, oregano, salt and pepper and three-quarters of the cheese to the white sauce.
2. Add the macaroni and mix. Spread on a greased shallow dish and arrange tomato slices on top. Cover with the remaining cheese and dot with butter.
3. Microwave on HIGH for about 2 1/2 minutes.
Serve immediately.


Cooking Time : 0 mins. 50 secs.

Makes 1 teacup.

1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon plain flour (maida)
1 teacup milk
salt and pepper to taste
1. Put the butter in a glass bowl and microwave on HIGH for about 10 seconds.
2. Add the flour and microwave on HIGH for 20 seconds, stirring once in-between after 10 seconds.
3. Add the milk and microwave on HIGH for about 20 seconds. Do bot boil.
4. Add salt and pepper.
Use as required.
