Anjeer barfi

Preparation Time : 10 mins.
Cooking Time : 15 mins.

Makes 1/3 cup.

Ingredients
6 nos. (50 grams) anjeer (dried figs)
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
Method
1. Puree the figs till they are broken down into very small pieces. This should measure about 1/3 cup.
2. In a pan, combine the sugar with 2 tablespoons of water and prepare a sugar syrup of 1 string consistency.
3. Add the figs and cardamom powder and cook for 4 to 5 minutes over a slow flame, stirring continuously.
4. Reamove from the fire and transfer to another plate. Cool completely.
5. Use as required.
